Mission Statement
Mission Statement
The mission of the Rio Tierra Junior High Library Media Center is to teach students to be effective users of information and to encourage and prepare students to be life-long learners. This mission is accomplished by:
- Providing instruction in information literacy
- Providing intellectual and physical access to informational materials in a variety of formats and media
- Stimulating interest in reading and in finding and using information and ideas promoting the use of the media center by students and faculty
- Working with teachers to develop educational strategies to meet the information needs of students and to augment teaching
- Supporting the school's curriculum and reading initiatives

Follow these instructions:
1. Sign into your TRUSD Apps Portal
2. Once logged in, click on the Learning Tools Folder
3. Click on the Destiny SSO (Students) title
4. Browse through titles, or use the search bar to look for a specific title

4. Browse through titles, or use the search bar to look for a specific title
5. Once you’ve selected an eBook, simply click OPEN to read it immediately, or click CHECKOUT to download the book
6. If you do not want to read on your Chromebook, you can download the Destiny Read and Destiny Discover apps on your Apple or Android device. Use the same log in that you use for TRUSD portal
