A career cluster is a group of careers that share common features. If you like one job in a cluster, you will probably find other jobs in that cluster that you will like as well.Here is an Example:The health science career cluster includes jobs that focus on wellness, nutrition, medicine, injury, disease, health technology, and hundreds of other subjects.Check out the picture below to see what all 16 Career Clusters are!
You can scroll down towards the bottom of this webpage to explore different Career Clusters. Each one has tabs for multiple jobs found in that cluster. You can click on the tab to read about each job or watch one of the videos. If a specific job you are interested in does not have a video you can scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the button to search more careers.

Did you know that you can start learning, get training, and gain new skills in a specific career area during Jr. high and high school? Six high schools and four Jr. highs in Twin Rivers School District have CTE programs.CTE stands for Career Technical Education. These programs focus on a special area of study such as the arts or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and some have Academies which are schools-within-a-school. CTE programs provides career, college, and workforce preparation for high school students, and include advanced training and the upgrading of existing skills. Rio Tierra is one of only two Jr. highs that offers two different pathway opportunities. Students can explore computer science and digital media which are offered at multiple high schools in the district if students wish to conitue.

Registered Nurse
Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration required.
Dentist
Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. May fit dental appliances or provide preventive care.
Pharmacist
Dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provide information to patients about medications and their use. May advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
Dental Hygienist
Clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. May educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants.

Hardware Engineer
Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
Software Developer
Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. May supervise computer programmers.
Web Developer
This career video provides day-in-the-life information about jobs, occupations, and tasks related to Web Developer positions including Web, Software, Content, and Front end Designers, Developers, Engineers, Architects, Coordinators, Supervisors, Managers, Directors.
Video Game Designer
Design core features of video games. Specify innovative game and role-play mechanics, story lines, and character biographies. Create and maintain design documentation. Guide and collaborate with production staff to produce games as designed.

Fashion Designer
Fashion designers create clothing, accessories, and footwear. Fashion designers work in wholesale or manufacturing establishments, apparel companies, retailers, theater or dance companies, and design firms. Most fashion designers work in New York and California.
Photographer
Photographers use their technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills to produce and preserve images. Working conditions for photographers vary by specialty. Some photographers travel for photo shoots, working either indoors or outdoors. Others work in studios; still others work in laboratories and use microscopes to photograph subjects.
Musician
Musicians and singers play instruments or sing for live audiences and in recording studios. Musicians and singers often perform in settings such as concert halls, arenas, and clubs.

Cosmetologist
Barbers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists provide haircutting, hairstyling, and a range of other beauty services. Barbers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists work mostly in a barbershop or salon. Physical stamina is important, because they are on their feet for most of their shift. Many work full time, but part-time positions are also common.
Aesthician
Skincare specialists cleanse and beautify the face and body to enhance a person’s appearance. Skincare specialists usually work in salons and beauty and health spas, and some are self-employed. Although most work full time, many work evenings and weekends.
Massage Therapist
Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Massage therapists work in an array of settings, such as spas, franchised clinics, physicians’ offices, hotels, and fitness centers. Some massage therapists also travel to clients’ homes or offices to give a massage.
